My passion is teaching Pool, known as Pocket Billiards. Day and night, I think about how to teach pool effectively. I have developed a unique training game that enables rapid progress on technique, aiming, pocketing balls and cue ball control. Most of all, it’s lots of fun. Learn by scoring points, not by missing all the time. If you have any interest in pool, take a lesson with me. You won’t regret it. I’ll see you at the table.

The lesson price includes both your and my table time.

I love teaching pool, especially to total beginners. I’ve developed some unique training games that help you make rapid progress while having lots of fun. It’s got to be fun!! For that reason, I’m great teaching groups at parties.

Over a decade ago, I got myself a job as co-editor of what became a big seller in the pool world, Phil Capelle’s “Play Your Best 8-Ball.” In late 2015, the Professional Billiard Instructors Association granted me the rank of Recognized Instructor.

Please note: Lesson prices INCLUDE payment for my "table time." it's not extra; it's included.

I can’t tell you how much how gratifying it is to see students progress rapidly, scoring points, pocketing balls, and having a high quality experience. My students think of me as a very patient teacher, willing to go over things many times. Take a lesson with me and you won’t regret it.

Very interesting person who raised my interest multiple times throughout the lesson. Also taught me the mastery of an important fundamental of billiards that I looked past

My friend and I were just playing a game of 8 ball and Dan suggested a game call loop . We were impressed at how much we learned about the tangent line and how we had to focus at where the ball had to go in order to stay at the table. Dan really improved my game with just 3 hours of lesson today. He also showed us 2 other games and both required us to play differently and it made us focus on cue ball control. I was smiling each time as if I discovered fire. Dan would walk us through why and how. I had a great time If i have time to play again i would call dan no doubt.

For a long time I thought I understood the game of pool but within the first 5 minutes of running drills with Dan, I came to the realization that I did not know much. My understanding of the completely changed and I definitely see improvements in the near future.

Dan is fantastic. He identified key areas in which I needed improvement and suggested drills to directly address those issues. From the very first lesson, it was clear that Dan possesses a deep love of billiards and has carefully considered the best ways to impart his knowledge to others. The overall quality of my game (and my enjoyment derived while playing it) has risen dramatically as a direct result of working with him.

I've had the pleasure to take quite a few lessons with Dan & I do not regret any of them. From the first time we've met at the pool hall he gave me a few simple tips & I saw a dramatic increase in my game. He has worked together amongst the pros & also has many years involved in the world of billiards. Everytime I meet with him I learn something new and bring back home some new techniques to practice which are vital to the game. He has taught me the basic fundamentals & stroke mechanics in which I had struggled with. He provides great feedback & is overall one of the best around with tons of experience. Any time I have questions or concerns I can reach out to him with no problem. Dan always delievers! It is always a pleasure working with Dan, he is very flexible, great on communication, reasonable & has the patience to teach to anyone! If you want to improve your game or have a general interest in pocket billiards / pool Daniel is your guy to reach out to. I am one of his current student's & he has not failed me. Dan always has a great demeanour & is full of knowledge on & off the table. Call or email him now you won't regret it.

Dan is a great teacher, making the "mysteries" of pool clear to a beginning player and imparting his love for the game. Dan gives lots of drills that are inspirational as well as challenging as you can see yourself improving.
