Hello! I’ve been playing guitar for over half my life and teaching for five years now. I first began learning guitar at a young age, and my passion for music has grown ever since.
My musical education began with guitar and music theory lessons when I was ten years old and continued until I graduated high school. These lessons included songwriting, music theory, and many other topics related to guitar. I also learned a variety of musical genres, including classic rock, acoustic, pop, country, and a bunch more. Being exposed to such a wide range of artists and genres was an incredible experience because it allowed me to learn numerous techniques and musical arrangements. This is also where I fell in love with artists like John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. These influential artists played a huge role in shaping my guitar playing, songwriting, and technique. This also led to me joining a singer-songwriter trio called Two Beards and a Boy where I was the lead guitarist. We currently perform at city events, fundraisers, and numerous restaurants in the DFW area.
In middle school, I became the lead electric guitarist in my church’s band. I have also lead the worship service on multiple occasions and subbed in at different instruments as needed. I also began taking private vocal performance lessons where I learned how to read music, sight read, and other musical skills. I continued taking these lessons in high school, where I was involved in multiple nationally ranked choirs and performed at Carnegie Hall in 2016. Being involved in my high school's varsity choir not only honed my overall musical abilities but led to opportunities accompanying the choir as a guitarist.
My love for music has played a huge role in my life, and I love sharing this passion with my students. Nothing beats the excitement of a student as they’re able to play their first song. Whether you are wanting to learn how to perform, compose music, or play your favorite song, I promise to help you achieve your goal.
I began giving guitar and music theory lessons in high school. I’ve taught a variety of ages, and I truly believe it's never too early or late to learn an instrument. Every student is unique in what they are wanting to learn, so I promise to structure each student’s lessons to fit their individual goals and interests. Also, it's very important to me that my students enjoy each and every lesson, so the student is in complete control of their learning. I have been working with children and youth for many years through the Upward Sports program, and I love building connections with all of my students to create a comfortable and fun learning environment.
As a college student at UT, I am very flexible with scheduling, so feel free to contact me about available times for lessons. I hope to hear from you soon, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Daniel is an amazing guitar player, as well as a great young man! He will be an incredible teacher to any student as well as a role model.
I've known Daniel for 10 years. On top of being one of the most talented guitar players I've ever known, he's also a stand up guy with integrity and excellent character. I've shared the stage with Daniel for a number of years leading worship for a wide variety of audiences, and through that time I've had the privilege to see Daniel love people well, all the while progressing as a musician himself. I will definitely continue to recommend Daniel to anyone seeking a fun and productive learning environment.+ Read More

Daniel is very patient and my daughter is learning very quickly from him. Very happy with him and will continue to have him as a teacher
Even though it was my first lesson, Daniel came prepared with exactly the kinds of things I want to learn. And he’s very encouraging!
Daniel did such an amazing job working with my son on his electric guitar lessons!
From a parent's perspective, he charged a very reasonable rate, he was willing to work with our schedules, and his communication with me was both timely and professional.
My son loved working with Daniel because, while he did dedicate time to teaching my son the fundamentals, he also allowed my son to bring in pieces of music that were self-selected. Being able to learn excerpts from his favorite songs really motivated my son to pick up his guitar instead of his XBox controller!
I highly recommend Daniel as a teacher. He is knowledgable, encouraging, and passionate about music in a way that is contagious. We wish he still lived close enough to us to continue lessons!
Daniel is a patient and kind teacher. He has a gift for playing the guitar and for teaching it. He is a natural leader and teacher. We highly recommend Daniel for any guitar lessons.
Daniel is a phenomenal musician- he is a rare combination of technical excellence and musical expression. He is remarkable at working with students of all ages-patient and kind and communicates well. He is also both reliable and responsible.
Daniel is an excellent teacher. He gave my 13 year old son lessons. He kept him engaged. Was able to keep him focused. With the ability to progress. If not for Daniel moving off to college I would still be using him to give lessons to my son.
Daniel taught my son guitar. My son learned so much from him in that time. He is a wonderful teacher and person.
Daniel taught our son and our son truly grew in his musical talent. Daniel challenged our son and encouraged him to pick music he wanted to learn. Frankly we are sad he is in Austin now but are excited for his next journey!
Daniel has been great. I'm in my 50's and am just now starting out with guitar. Daniel has been very patient with me and worked hard to find ways to teach me so that it made sense to me. I was able to learn at my pace and be able to play songs I wanted to learn. I would definitely recommend him.+ Read More
