Hi! I am so stoked that you have decided to take guitar lessons. The guitar is an endlessly fascinating instrument that can be used to play a wide variety of styles. I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the instrument with you regardless of your skill level. A little bit about my journey with the guitar... I began my life with the guitar by taking electric guitar lessons in the blues and soul genre from a Vallejo legend named Carl 'Good Rockin' Robinson and classically with Leo Cavanagh. Then I studied steel-string acoustic guitar with renown Italian fingerstyle guitarist and composer Peppino D'Agostino. Meanwhile, I learned folk, country, bluegrass, and old-time flat-picking from Eric Thomson (website error prevents me from spelling his name correctly with a "p") and studied jazz with Mimi Fox. In college, I had the privilege to study classical guitar with Scott Tennant and Pepe Romero. Today I play guitar in a rock band called Idle Joy, back up a folk singer known as Rainy Eyes, and play classical guitar at private events. Recently, I had the great privilege of opening for a hero of mine, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, at The Chapel in San Francisco.
