I'm a visual learner so it figures that Geometry was my favorite math course in high school. Geometry can be difficult for many students. However, passing it is a requirement in every high school I'm aware of. I'm here to make the process easier. But, I'm not here just to help students pass, I'm here to help them achieve mastery. During the first few sessions, we work on basic concepts in Geometry, from rotating to translating shapes, to finding area, surface, area, and volume. Based on comprehension, I move to proofs, of which I have endless practice exercises to ensure that students achieve advanced proficiency. After proofs, I introduce basic trigonometry and more. This course of action is subject to change depending on student needs, especially if a student is struggling with current material in school.

About Daniel D.

Hi! My name is Dan, and I can't wait to meet you!

I've been teaching private lessons to students from pre-K through college for over 15 years. I have loved seeing my students excel in all levels of math, reading comprehension, writing, and a variety of other subjects. Equally important has been watching my students' confidence levels soar.

Many of my students whom I tutored for years have attended Ivy League Schools, including Yale, Stanford, Columbia, and Brown, and I still keep in touch with some of them to this day.

When you work with me, you'll see that I truly care about your success and that I will invest all my effort to ensure that you are comfortable with whatever material we are covering. I try to make learning fun and engaging, and I have an enthusiastic personality.

I earned my B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University (NYU). There, I double majored in History (with high honors) and Political Science, and I double minored in Philosophy and Spanish Language. I then attended Georgetown University Law School, where I earned my JD.

In the last two years, I have served as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and William Paterson University, where I have taught law-related courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you achieve your goals.

Dan is an exceptional tutor. He tutored my son in 10th grade American Literature English. Dan actually went out and bought the books my son was assigned and read along with him to prepare for their lessons. He also edited all my son's essays, taught him some writing tricks, and dramatically improved his writing. I can't recommend enough.

Daniel is a fantastic teacher. He is patient, explains the information really well, and makes sure to tailor each lesson to my strengths and weaknesses. He is also really good at explaining complex concepts in super easy-to-understand terms. If you are looking for an amazing tutor who will help you understand and learn quickly, while boosting confidence, then Daniel’s the best tutor out there.

Dan is an exceptional tutor. My daughter is studying to become a teacher, and she struggled with the math section of the Praxis exam, which tests an overview of high school math. Dan worked extraordinarily hard, tutoring her twice per week. He rented practice books from the library, developed his own materials, and broke everything down for my daughter in simple terms so that she could understand. He was very patient and he worked through every problem she encountered. I can't thank him enough. Because of Dan, my daughter passed the exam, and she is on her way to becoming a teacher.

Dan worked at my K-12 learning center for several years. He is by far, the best employee I have EVER had. He worked diligently with students of all ages in math and reading, ranging from basic math to calculus and phonics to literary interpretation and writing skills. He has a special knack for breaking complicated material down, making it accessible to any student. This is a testament to his ability to read a student's capability quickly and zone in on and remedy where a student is struggling. Moreover, he is able to relate to students of any age and make them feel comfortable. Finally, he is extremely intelligent and can tutor students effectively in just about any possible subject. If you get the chance, I can't recommend enough that you work with him. He will not let you down.

Dan is a wonderful human being and a stellar educator. My daughter was struggling with her adjustment to college, particularly in writing academic essays. Dan tutored her through her first and second years, editing her essays, explaining how to structure essays, maintain focus, and be succinct. He also managed, through discussion, to prompt my daughter to think and develop her own ideas about where to take her essays. He was available whenever my daughter needed him. I can't say enough positive things about him. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a tutor or teacher.

Dan is the best tutor/teacher I have ever seen. Midway through my son’s 8th grade year, he was on the verge of failing Algebra I. I found Dan to tutor him. Dan was patient, attentive, knowledgeable, and found a multitude of ways to break down the material. He brought my son’s grade from a D to an A for the last two quarters of the school year. He’s the absolute best. And he genuinely cares.
