First off, I am a music teacher with a degree in psychology who owns my own web development business and performs magic shows at parties and events. Can I get any weirder? Yes? Oh... Still here? Great!
At my core, I am an entertainer. I have been performing music and magic for over 10 years in front of audiences and crowds ranging from my family to nearly 10,000 random people. I started music at the age of 5 and magic at the age of 9. I do my best to make my lessons interesting and engaging. I have no problem teaching out of a book or creating a home-made learning plan for you based on what musical path you want to go down.
Do you like classical music? Make sure to come Bach every week for your next lesson! Do you like music on the radio? Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing! Do you want to play in a band? Hold your applause until after the lesson! Don't know what you want to do? Don't feel bad because I am still figuring that out for myself.
My piano lessons will be taught to you from my own bedroom. I have a Kawai Studio keyboard that I will hook up to a board with a microphone to give you some top quality sound. I have a single HD webcam for now but will eventually purchase another one so that I can have 2 views to swap between (myself and my hand on the piano). You might see a dog or a cat running around but don't worry, they won't scratch you! *ba dum tss*
On the side, I also help tutor Psychology and teach website development. If you are interested in any of these lessons, feel free to ask me questions!
Fun Things About Me:
- I turn 23 on May 20th, 2018.
- I play at Cartersville First Baptist Church on Sunday mornings. Usually playing Keys/Piano but get moved around to a different instrument almost every week.
- For those who like to know...I am an ambivert (a mixture of an extrovert and an introvert).
- I have an Associate's and Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Leadership and Organizational Communication.
- I like math. Music is basically math, so...it makes sense why I like music.
- I am a video gamer. So let's swap Steam names and have some fun outside of lessons!
My adolescent grandson took piano lessons from Daniel for 3.5 years and learned enough to become a life long lover of music and has continued to enjoy playing this instrument. Daniel has a great rapport with young students.
Daniel Craven is an amazing teacher. He is a kind and helpful person you love to be around. I strongly recommend him as a performer (he rocks!) on any instrument. Guitar, drums, and he's the best piano player I've ever heard. I also recommend him as a teacher. This guy knows what he's doing :)+ Read More

So good! Super talented and very helpful. Totally helped me with arrangements and teaching me to work on my timing. Daniel is extremely talented and patient too! Great investment 👍
Great teacher! He makes learning new concepts and techniques fun, is very attentive to the goals of the student, and receptive to feedback. Very flexible when dealing with rescheduling of appointments.
I had an excellent experience taking lessons with Daniel. He takes his role as a teacher very seriously but at the same time makes his lessons fun and enjoyable. He uses his experience as a psychology graduate to provide unique and effective teaching methods. I had a specific goal in mind when I signed up to take lessons with him. He not only helped me achieve my goal, but I also learned a lot more than I ever expected in the process.+ Read More
