I'm a PhD Civil Engineer and Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with about a quarter of an MBA's worth of upper-division electives in the strategy and management of research and development. 

Students like me because I do an excellent job of providing them with structure and encouragement. I also make a lot of analogies and sometimes come up with good dad jokes.

What sets me apart from other teachers is that I make sure all of my students can clearly explain what they just learned and why it matters.

Dr. B has been a highly effective tutor and advisor for the last two years of my PhD. I took Dr B’s lessons to improve my skills in scientific communication and public speaking. As a non-native English speaker, I got much guidance and feedback from Dr. B on how to present my work, not only on pronunciation and semantics but also on logic and structure. Dr. B helped me articulate my thoughts clearly, and challenge me to think. His critical feedback has pushed me to become a better scientist and engineer.
