About Daniel B.
I'm a gigging musician and teacher with a degree in Musical Studies from Oberlin College & Conservatory. I pride myself on patience and empathy no matter what I teach, whether it be feeling the pulse of a complicated drum groove or polishing up a piano piece for the first time. For music lessons, I strive to bring in a context of genre fluidity and history, so that a student knows where and what to explore on their own even when I am not in the room to show them. My teaching is all about inspiring students to express their own creativity and make their strengths work for them, rather than only playing a tune the "right way" to get from point A to point B.

It was a great first online lesson for my kid.

Dan connected well with my daughter and now she can't wait for more lessons.

Sarina had a great time learning piano with Daniel.

Andrew got along well with Daniel. Andrew enjoyed his lesson.

This has been an excellent initial experience and we are looking forward to more lessons.

Daniel and my son Matthew clicked immediately. Matthew is now hooked. He could not wait to get up this morning and practice what he learned during his first lesson with Daniel. I could not be more pleased.
