Born with perfect pitch, I started playing the violin and piano at the age of four. I am a classically trained violinist. Music is my biggest passion and I am currently auditioning for graduate programs. I did my undergraduate training from the Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music. I received scholarships from both institutions. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree from University of California San Diego (UCSD). My past teachers include violinists from the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the concertmaster from Indianapolis Symphony.
I wholeheartedly understand that studying and understanding an instrument and its complexities is challenging, but it can also be incredibly rewarding and fun! It is a great way to express oneself and connect with others. I believe in incorporating music theory and ear training into learning the instrument, especially at a young age. I care deeply about each student's need and desire in terms of musical growth and promise to make the lessons as fun and enlightening to the best of my knowledge. No matter how old you are, whether you are 4 or 60, there is no such thing as "too late" when it comes to enjoying music!

Hello! I am a classically trained violinist. I did my undergraduate training at the Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music. All of my teachers during my time in Boston were violinists from Boston Symphony Orchestra, one of the best orchestras in the world. By having them as my teachers, I learned that having a good teacher that focuses on the foundational violin techniques, of which allows advancements to build on top, is indispensable.
I have performed at Boston Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Conrad Presby Hall, Harvard Theater, and much more with world renowned musicians and conductors.
While I am fundamentally a classically trained violinist, I love to play and listen to all genres of music from classical to EDM to 70s classics. Most importantly, playing music should be fun and the purest form of self expression. I love to help my students find the joy and beauty of music.
Personally in my practice routine, I always start with fundamentals like scales, arpeggios, double stops, and some bowing exercises. This allows your mind and body to warm up and get used to making full, ringing sounds. I hope by taking lessons with me, you as a student learn not only the violin but also the delight of music in general! :)
