I love teaching ASL so much, it is my passion. I am a fun and humorous ASL teacher. I feel you will love how fast you learn ASL. My background includes having deaf parents and deaf daughters so I have been using ASL all of my life as it's my first language. I am a CODA (child of deaf parents). I have taught K-12 deaf students for over 30 years. My favorite subject is teaching American Sign Language (all levels), sign song, conversational, creative, and interpreting which I taught at the local college for over 20 years. I have lifetime teaching credentials for k-12 and community college. I used to interpret for the deaf free-lance and at work for 40 years. I have taught over 3000 students over my many years of teaching, it is my love. Presently, I sign songs on weekends and perform mime in the local theater group. I have many videos of my performances on my YouTube channel.

Dan has been absolutely amazing! From the very first lesson, he has been nothing but kind, patient and funny throughout all our sessions. Every lesson he incorporates games and anecdotes making it so much fun to learn! He is very knowledgeable not only in ASL, but also in interpreting, which is great for my studies; I plan on having lessons with him throughout my studies for further help and practice. He is super passionate about teaching ASL and goes out of his way to send you resources, links and information to further help your learning and practice of the language. Truly one of a kind! I highly recommend him for learning any level of ASL!

Dan is awesome to work with. I've had five 30 minute sessions so far, and now have switched to 60 minutes - I've even paid in advance for 20 lessons because I know I'll be continuing with him long term. Love that he's very detail oriented and corrects me when I sign less than perfect.
