Singing with Damaris R.

I am a professional singer/song writer. I have a background in musical theatre but the genre I specialize in is R&B, soul and gospel (both English and Spanish). In my most recent show I sang for tap dancers. I’ve been singing professionally for 6 years and teaching for one. I am formally trained and like to teach my students using the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years while adding my own style. I teach my students how to connect and use their bodies as their instruments and to trust and embrace their unique voice and style. I believe in a firm foundation and show my students quick, easy yet powerful basic vocal warmups and techniques. I help students nurture and care for their voice while strengthening their craft in a fun and accepting environment.
