I currently teach guitar through Manhattan School of Music's teaching outreach program. The lessons focus on group lessons with kids ranging from 9-14 years old.
I enjoy watching my students grow and find joy in their enthusiasm towards learning the guitar!

Community Outreach Program

I have been teaching guitar for two years now. My students focus on learning proper technique, proper posture, musicality, music literacy, and how to have an enjoyable relationship with the guitar.

I received a BM from San Francisco State (2015), and am studying to obtain my MM from Manhattan School of Music (2018), 
I focus on assuring that my students not only learn how to play the guitar, but how to be musical and expressive while doing so.

My name is Dalton McLaughlin and I have been teaching guitar for about two years now. I have been playing for around ten years, and continue to grow and love the guitar and music each and every day.

I graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State in 2015 with a BM in classical guitar performance.
I am currently studying with David Lesiner at the Manhattan School of Music to receive my MM in classical guitar performance.

I enjoy playing and teaching many different styles of guitar including classical, flamenco, folk, pop, acoustic fingerstyle, rock, and blues.
