Broadcast Music Inc. was founded in 1939 by forward-thinkers who wanted to represent songwriters in emerging genres, like jazz, blues and country, and protect the public performances of their music. Operating on a non-profit-making basis, BMI is now the largest music rights organization in the U.S. and is still nurturing new talent and new music.

At Freeway Music in Columbia, SC I served a substitute music instructor throughout my entire college career. I subbed for all of their guitar and bass instructors at one point or another and learned how to pick up in the middle of a lesson series and offer new perspectives on material the student's were learning.

Experienced piano teacher of over a decade available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of the fundamentals. In my lessons you can look forward to using professional grade equipment as well as taking home plenty of handouts, videos, etc.

I have over a decade of teaching experience in guitar, bass, and piano. My passion for music and teaching stems from my desire to be a big part of my student’s lives and growth through active personal involvement both in and out of the lesson. I want to cultivate lasting relationships with my students which encourages both the student and myself. Creating win-win situations ensures everyone is happy.

I only wish that this site allowed me to pick more than one subject! Mr. Dwight has improved my knowledge on subjects ranging from Music Production to Advanced Performance with his personal approach. His understanding of rhythm and harmony, paired with his patience and humor makes him my candidate for "Best Instructor Ever"
