I have been studying and performing music since the age of 8. My experience includes bass guitar, piano (both being my primary instruments), trombone, and guitar; genres include jazz, praise and worship, country, rock, classical, ragtime, and funk. I am currently a student at Berklee College of Music pursuing a degree in Music Education. Locally, I play in two original bands, Congress and Old English. Through my academic knowledge and my real world performance on stage I am able to provide a well rounded curriculum. *** Lesson Details *** My teaching is based on a sequential method of progress, starting from the basics and appropriately moving forward to provide an excellent structure to assist learning. While I like to rely on this sequence I also understand that everyone is different and learns differently. This means that I personalize each students' curriculum to make sure that the main elements are being met while also meeting specific needs to keep enthusiasm. Education should be fun and effective and my teaching strives to accomplish both. *** Studio Equipment *** Bedroom set up, two bass amps. Two cats- In house. *** Specialties *** On bass guitar I specialize in slapping, voicing chords, and establishing solid grooves. Genres that I am well versed in are Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, and Funk.
