Piano with Dale J.

I started playing the piano when I was a whopping five years old! To tell you the truth, for seven years I was BORED TO DEATH! Playing piano was not fun, and I was forced to play music that I didn't like. Then something humorous happened. I was about to give up when my mom (in her infinite wisdom) took me aside one day and filled me in on a little secret. She said, "Dale, girls dig the guys who can play the piano!" Ha. At age 12, this tidbit of information turned out to be pretty useful. :) In all seriousness, I jumped in, got to work and paid the price to become really good at becoming a well-rounded pianist (sight reading, composing, arranging, playing by ear, improv, performing, music production) and as a result I was able to take state in piano performance, was on the judging panel for the international Gina Bachauer piano competition, accepted at Tuacahn High School for the performing arts where I studied piano composition and performed in plays, self produced over 100 original compositions with more in the works, performed for the Prince of Ethiopia, and have been blessed to be able to share my love of piano with past and current piano students.
