I have been an elementary school teacher for the past 10 years. I have experience teaching children in grades K, 2nd, and 3rd but have also tutored students from grades 1-5. I have a bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Bilingual Education from the University of Texas-Pan American. My certifications include Generalist EC-4, Bilingual Ed EC-4, and Special Education EC-12th. Most of my experience has been in teaching bilingual and/or dual language classes in English and Spanish.

I have a passion for teaching. Although my experience has been mainly teaching professionally at the elementary school level, I have the knowledge necessary to teach students of all ages. I have taught students with various learning styles and understand how to use different instructional techniques to help a student be successful in reaching their learning goals, academic or language goals.

I am a patient person and enjoy helping others. Learning a language, such as English or Spanish, does not have to be a difficult task. I can help you learn the fundamentals of the language and help build your understanding of the essentials such as vocabulary, syntax, grammar, etc. I would love to help others learn to communicate in another language!
