About Curtis P.

Teaching music is one of my many passions - I enjoy sharing and instilling a love of music in others! With ten years of teaching experience, I've taught a variety of ages (including adult learners), levels, and backgrounds. Currently I'm a doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where I'm a full scholarship piano performance student. I'm also teaching piano lessons out of Willis Music's Kenwood Galleria, where I maintain a private piano studio. I began teaching privately, but while studying at Indiana University, I worked as a faculty member of Indiana University's Young Pianist program. Besides teaching piano, I also teach music theory. Over the last three years, I worked as an Associate Instructor of Music Theory at Indiana University where I taught and assisted in undergraduate music theory courses. My students ranged from complete beginners to honors students. I recently graduated from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music with a master's degree in Piano Performance and Early Music Harpsichord. I also received my bachelor's degree from IU, graduating with Highest Honors. Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding my studio.
