With a reputation for a pure sound, I focus on enabling students to sound their very best. I incorporate both western and Suzuki methods to develop tone, breath support, a good ear, technique, and musicality. With special emphasis on the circle of 5ths, students learn basic theory and to play in all major and minor keys. I make learning fun by offering incentives and rewards for technique pass-offs. We do public recitals twice a year where students not only practice performing, but also advertising.

I started playing flute since I was 11 years old. Since then I have placed in numerous competitions including the Young Artists Cup in Cache Valley. In 2009 I performed with the Lyceum Orchestra in Park City. I was a finalist for the Idaho Falls Symphony concerto competition in 2016, won and performed for the BYU-IDAHO Symphony concerto competition in 2017, and sat as section leader in the BYU-IDAHO Symphony Band for our tour to Mexico that same year. I spent two years gigging with the VanTrio. In 2018 I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance. I am a member of the National Flute Association.
