Hello there! I'm excited to introduce myself as your flute teacher. I've been teaching private flute lessons for three years, both online and in-person in the Chicago-land area. I hold a bachelor degree in Music Performance from Eastern Illinois University and have completed graduate coursework from Northern Illinois University. When I'm not playing or teaching the flute, I enjoy sipping on coffee, munching on tacos, and exploring new places! During our time together, I will create a tailored curriculum that suits you or your students' individual needs. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced flutist, I have plenty of helpful advice to improve your playing. For those who are just starting out, I'll provide a structured lesson plan that focuses on the fundamentals of music, such as learning to read music and understanding rhythm. We'll also cover the basics of flute playing such as how to hold the instrument, how to properly assemble/disassemble it, and create a good sound. Intermediate and advanced students will enjoy learning about standard flute repertoire, music history and music theory.
