Cris, countertenor �- is a natural male who combines sounds from the Ancient past with those of the digital era to form a unique, hybrid mix unlike any other. Classically trained, Cris creates a crossover musical experience by infusing pop with early music (Renaissance folklore & Baroque opera) genres. Cris has toured the U.S. with the Boston Pops and Andrea Bocelli. A highlight of appearance includes the Corona del mar Baroque Festival, the OC Performing Arts Center, the Hollywood Bowl and Seattle Baroque Opera. He is a graduate of CSUF, USC & Claremont Graduate University. Since 2001, Cris has been working extensively as a performer, voice teacher/coach, accompanist and choral director throughout Southern California. I am a firm believer that there isn't a single vocal method out there that really works for everyone. But rather it is about observation of yourself without judgement and TRULY understanding how vocal production works in your body in relation to your breath, your mind, and your soul. Through years of training and education, I've witnessed a lot of vocal instructions where “it’s either my way or nothing else would work”.
