Craig Juricka, baritone, is an emerging vocal pedagogue and performer. Craig's approach to singing is routed in his cross-trained background. Comfortable in teaching all genres, Craig’s students range in age, beginners to pre-professionals. Using a pedagogy based on the philosophy and methods of the bel canto tradition, Mr. Juricka’s teaching is a mix of various methods such as the Alexander and Fitzmaurice techniques. Mr. Juricka’s performance career has brought him to the opera and musical theatre stages around the nation. His favorite credits include Owen Hart (Dead Man Walking), Dr. Cajus (Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor) and Eisenstein (cover)(Die Fledermaus). In 2017, he was a finalist in the Classical Singer Competition (Emerging Professional Division) in Chicago, IL. He received first place for the New England Region of this same competition's preliminary rounds in both Musical Theatre and Classical. During the summer of 2018, he will be featured as a Apprentice Artist at Des Moines Metro Opera. Craig is also active in the concert singing world. As a Choral Scholar at Marsh Chapel, he has performed in various Bach cantatas, as well as Handel's Judas Maccabaeus (Messenger) and Bach's St. John Passion (Pilatus). In the spring of 2018, he made his debut with the Handel & Haydn Society and Boston Baroque, performing in Bach's B Minor Mass & Beethoven’s Fidelio. Craig received his Master’s of Music in Vocal Pedagogy at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2018, where he is the assistant to the program's director. He has a professional affliation with the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and College Music Board. In 2016, he received his BM from Capital University in Vocal Performance, focusing on Opera and Musical Theatre.

Craig is a wonderful instructor. Very kind and fun. He customizes his lessons to meet my needs and is really starting to help me find my voice! He has strong grasp of the fundamentals of vocal pedagogy and makes them so easy to understand and learn from - my voice has begun to improve already! Thanks, Craig!
