Hello! Thank you for checking out my TakeLessons profile. My name is Corinne, and my passion is teaching. Great teachers can have lasting effects on their students, and I cherish the possibility of improving my students’ lives through music. When I'm teaching a lesson, it may seem on the surface that we're only practicing how to play their instrument well. However, with every student that I meet, my goal is to help them learn how to set and achieve realistic goals. A brand new clarinet student’s weekly goal may be to play their instrument for 10 seconds without taking a breath. An advanced clarinet student’s goal may be to master a piece for their college audition. Both students have challenging goals based on their skill level, but the goals look very different! I believe that goal-setting is an important life skill that can set anyone on a path to greatness – as long as they know how to follow through. My goal is to help YOU reach your goals. When I am not working with students, you can find me working on my own goals! I practice all of my instruments often, and I am working hard to become a great tap dancer. My non-musical interests include learning about the coffee-making process, learning how to make costumes from scratch, and playing The Sims. Thank you for your attention, and I hope to meet you soon!
