I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere Indiana. From an early age I was fascinated by solo singing. I started in church on Sundays, screaming my little head off. From there I got on stage in my first role ever, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes. That was it. I was hooked but I had one big problem. I didn't know what I was doing. My love for the stage morphed into a passion for teaching. The process of coming along side and building someones voice with them is a beautiful incredible thing. Over the next two decades I had two or three amazing teachers and way too many bad ones. This experience taught me what is important in a lesson. No matter the skill level, at its most base form a lesson is a puzzle that you and your teacher are working to solve. That is how I teach. I am a guide.
