Wonderful instructor, easy to talk to, clear with his directions. Very helpful sessions. Was able to record the lessons and practice offline. Highly recommend the course.
Corbin is a great teacher. He pinpointed where and how my sounds got wrong and guided me to make correct tongue positions and mouth shapes. He is also very patient and kind. I will study more with him.
Excellent experience. Going back for more lessons. Highly Recommended!!!
I had my doubts at first of taking a class online, because I am not an easy student, my body awareness is not very good, but Corbin is such a great teacher and he knows very well what he is doing, so I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Happy with it, feel like I am learning a lot.
Corbin was fantastic!! He really knows his stuff. I came to him with a few things to work on and he identified them without me telling him. He also picked up on several other items that we addressed. He had some great techniques to help me identify what I could do better and then had the suggestions for improvement. I am looking forward to working with Corbin again. Corbin explained and demystified many singing concepts. I learned a lot from just my first session. I am looking forward to continuing singing lessons with him.
Awesome experience with Corbin! Definitely looking forward to working with him more!
Once in a while someone comes along with whom you immediately find affinity and common interests--Corbin is one of those people in my life. He is an exceptionally good communicator and teacher. I always feel inspired and excited when I've finished a lesson, and I look forward to seeing him for the next. He gives real content and gives it something else--a key. The key that unlocks deeper understanding and confidence to continue. This is a very rare quality in anyone, let alone a teacher. Bravo, Corbin!+ Read More
Corbin is absolutely delightful!
ORBIN IS AN OUTSTANDING TEACHER! hE HELPS ROBBIE WITH PRONUNCIATION, ENUNCIATION, AND ELOCUTION. Robbie is now learning to place emphasis on index words and breathing exercises.
Corbin really knows it all! From Shakespeare to Musical Theatre, he really helped me prepare every single audition piece that I needed in my repertoire for college auditions. He creates a safe and comfortable environment to workshop pieces, dissect text, and perfect vocal techniques. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to begin exploring a piece, or just needs another opinion on something in-the-works.+ Read More

Corbin, Is a great teacher! He knows his stuff, and exactly how to get the best out of a student.
It's a good experience! Go for it!
I am currently a naval officer nearing retirement. I wanted to try stage and film acting and contacted Corbin because I had no experience. Since I began working with Corbin in March 2015, I have been cast in a play, The Graduate, and a musical, Dogfight, and have auditioned for TV episodes and short films. For The Graduate, Corbin provided a safe, interactive, one-on-one, and encouraging atmosphere. This was important for me because I did not want to be doing this for the first time at my age in front of a class of college students. As I had never done this before, Corbin was able to draw upon his decades of experience to not only help me in reading my lines and develop my character but also mentored me on what to expect once on the stage and cast and crew expectations for me. For my musical audition training, I regard Corbin as a subject matter expert. It has been approximately 25 years since I’ve done any formal choir/music training and Corbin was able to immediately identify areas in my singing that required work. He had me work on vocal exercises and breathing techniques all of which helped increase my range and increase my confidence when singing in front of a room full of people for the audition.
Corbin is an outstanding coach and mentor! He uses his on-stage and in front of the stage experience to help the actor develop their character and he won’t let the actor deliver any performance that’s less than their best. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, he likes to have fun during lessons. I’ve been with him now for seven months and I’m excited to work on future projects with him!
Corbin has been the best acting instructor I ever had. He is very professional and has helped me a lot with being able to bring out emotion required for acting. Allowing me to be a more Realistic Actor than Naturalistic. Corbin is very fun and funny, as well as a great motivational teacher. I also have him to thank for casting me in a play that he recently directed. It has been a true pleasure to have been working with him and learning from him and I am very excited to continue doing so.+ Read More
Great and really insightful great learning experience.
Corbin has been a fantastic teacher. Upbeat, knowledgeable, encouraging. He knows a wide range of teaching techniques and goals and always could tell which one I should pursue. I was able to reach my goals surprising quickly (Thanks!)
Excellent first lesson that's convinced me to make a long-term investment in Corbin's coaching!
Corbin is a lot of fun and a wonderful teacher. He has helpful resources to offer, and has taught me how to properly warm up my voice and how to exercise my vocals correctly. Overall great experience!
Thanks so much Corbin for being a great help to me. I will surely come back again in the future for more training with you. Thanks!!
He is excellent. I have mild autism and thus very little facial expression but he is teaching me how to change that.
Big fan of Corbin's. He knows his stuff and explains things in very understandable manner. I have seen dramatic improvement in just three lessons. He has good "take-home" exercises to build on each lesson.
Great coaching , not only with the Broadway singing ,but also have good advice with useful tools, when preparing for an audition !
First off all, I have to say thank you to a wonderful teacher with a lot of talents and patience. I did enjoyed Corbin of been my accent reduction teacher. I will really recommend him to any one who will benefit from his numerous teachings and talents. Keep on the good job!!!+ Read More
Corbin is a fantastic teacher who instructs you how to safely build your singing voice from the ground up. He starts with the basics and tells you why on every vocal exercise what he is trying to do and how it will make you a better singer. My greatest lesson from him was how to project the power in my voice without straining my vocal chords. He has great knowledge of music theory and the practical experience from a lifetime of performances in front of an audience to help you in whatever you are trying to do in the entertainment field. Or if you just want to keep it simple and become a better singer for your local choir Corbin can make you stand out from the rest of the group. If you really want to learn the correct way to sing and have fun doing it than book a session with him.+ Read More
Great, patient teacher for a new actor! My son really enjoyed the lessons and felt he learned a great deal! Plan to continue with more!
Corbin is a dedicated professional who has the ability to bring out the best in people. His lesson techniques are among the best we have encountered on our journey to educate the young mind of my daughter in the ways of acting. We were practically impressed in the way he approached and inspired my daughter through his teachings. The real world lessons where he puts my daughter on camera and points out subtle variations in her approach to acting is a valuable technique that my daughter has adapted to well and will enhance her ability to secure acting roles more readily. Because of his dedication and superior teaching techniques we have signed up for additional lessons.Thank You...+ Read More
Corbin is a great teacher. I came to him reluctantly, because online lessons seemed like such a "different" way of approaching acting. I just signed up for two 1/2 hour lessons. By the time those lessons were completed, I had signed up for 8 more hours. That's how impressed I was, and I continue to work with him. I find his method and manner challenging - which is what I expect from good teaching. He makes me do the work based on discoveries I have made in myself - the foundation of which is his teaching me how to look at the script and at my skills in new and fascinating ways. He is not a "let-me-show-you-how" type of teacher.
If you are willing to work hard, take risks and make real improvements to your acting knowledge and skills - I recommend Corbin without hesitation.
one of my best instructor
Corbin is one of the best teacher i have had when it comes to acting. he was very professional and i learned a lot from him, in my very first week. I took twelve lessons with him and i must say, he's a very great teacher. At the time i was taking classes with him, i was actually taking lessons with someone else and trust me, i can't even compare the two experiences because Corbin was far better than this other instructor, in terms of knowledge and teaching skills. i had the option to take my lessons online but i chose to take it at his home. His space is very big, warm and he was very welcoming. Oh did i mention that he communicates very well, every time i sent him an email, he got right back to me. If you are someone thats looking for an awesome instructor, someone that will teach you what you need to know, and get your money worth? Corbin is the one. i got a little experience on his accent reduction although i was an acting student. Corbin was not one of those teachers that would rush you out as soon as your lesson was over, he made sure i was comfortable and understood what was going on, every time. unlike some teachers thats always clock watching. I am definitely going to take more lessons with him.
He is a very knowledgeable and skilled teacher. He makes each session fun and engaging. I have already learned so much in this little time I have had with him.
Mr. Abernathy is a skilled and enjoyable teacher. I felt good about my session with him. I would definitely work with him again.
