Music Theory with Connor L.

Hello! My name is Connor L. and I am a French Horn teacher! Based out of Bradenton, FL, I am enlisted in the United States Army as a Bandsmen, in addition to pursuing a degree at the Eastman School of Music. In addition to studying with some of the all-time greats such as William VerMuelen and W. Peter Kurau, I have multiple years of experience teaching all levels of Horn players. In addition to Orchestral and Wind Band expertise, I spent two years with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps out of Madison, WI. Performances with groups such as: The Sarasota Orchestra, The 198th Army Band, The New York State Ballet, The Eastman Wind Ensemble,The Eastman School Symphony Orchestra, The Eastman Jazz Ensemble, The Sarasota Concert Band, and The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. In addition to performance, I am a composer/arranger, and have written music for Drum Corps International's Individual and Ensemble Competition, as well as music performed on multiple collegiate-level recitals and concerts, including the Eastman Horn Choir, and other University-level ensembles across the United States! My teaching philosophy is always on an individual basis, as playing the Horn is a different experience for everyone! There should never be a cookie-cutter way to learn how to create beautiful music, and I am willing to help you find what works best for you! Whether you are looking for help in the areas of sound development, technique, or audition preparation, I very much look forward to working with any level of student! The method of success that has worked for myself, and many others is a methodical routine! No matter how busy your schedule is, you can expect to see week-to week improvements with a custom-tailored routine that I can help you create!
