Hello! I am a Mandarin teacher of many years, having taught in a variety of settings, from 1-on-1 tutoring, to immersion schools. As a Chinese-American, I have great tools in place to help English speakers best learn the challenging language of Mandarin Chinese. As someone with extensive knowledge of both languages, as well as a teacher of both Mandarin and English, I have a great understanding of both languages, thus am able to help bridge any gaps between the two. In addition to language, I am also a life-long musician. I offer a beginner guitar class to get you started on basic chords, scales, and classic songs. Currently I'm ONLY working with complete beginners (no previous guitar experience). As a lead singer for an original rock band, I've had years of performance, touring, teaching, and songwriting experience. Many of my students have gone on to be great songwriters themselves.
