Learn way more than polka with me, one of accordion's biggest fans!

Accordion is one of my truest loves. I've been a musician as long as I can remember. I've been playing traditional Irish accordion for 10 years and have had 5 very talented teachers myself. I can apply my performance and teaching techniques to piano or button accordion. I've also played concert piano accordion for 12 years, and can teach the fundamentals of accordion playing, advanced technique and style for accordion, basic to advanced music theory, and general performance and practice techniques. We will do a mixture of ear training and sheet music reading (don't be scared!). I always cater to the individual as well to make the lessons more personalized.

About Connor C.

4.9
(31)
I'm a film composer by trade, but I love teaching as well. I love sharing my passion for music with others. I have a BM from Appalachian State University in piano performance and music theory/composition. I also have an MFA in music composition for the screen from Columbia College Chicago. I studied abroad in Ireland for a summer and learned traditional Irish music. I've been playing piano and composing since I was a young child, and picked up folk instruments along the way. Folk music has been a constant source of joy in my life, and I am continually learning more about it. Music is what gets me out of bed in the morning!

Connor is wonderful! She is teaching our 10-year-old daughter, who is thrilled with the lessons. Connor is warm, personable, patient, and supportive with her. Connor leaves great notes after every lesson with updates on what to practice in between. We couldn’t have hoped for more!
