Conchshell Rhythms also known as Mr. Loran T. Bailey is Husband and Father of two originally for Nassau, Bahamas (🇧🇸) . Mr. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (EC-12) with a focus in percussion, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education Leadership & Administration. He is presently the Battery Percussion Instructor for the Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm Drum-line (better known as MSD). Mr. Bailey performs regular with and manages The Pink Sand Brass Band, he is also a musician at Truevine Missionary Baptist located in Spring, Texas. Bailey has been playing, performing and teaching for over 17years. He endorses TRX cymbals and Flamgear Clothing company. After graduating, he joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force, where he became a member of the band division. While in the band, he continued to develop his music reading skills and focused on becoming more fundamentally sound. During his years in the Bahamas, Mr. Bailey trained many young people; he was a music teacher for the urban renewal band, the Police Youth Band, and the Carmicheal youth band as a part of the Youth Empowerment Program. Loran has played for churches, jazz combos, concert bands, and wind ensembles. He has spent many years teaching beginner piano & guitar students, and serving as band director for brass and woodwind students. He has also played, performed and recorded with Avante Guarden Rock Band as well as Willis & the Illest Reggae Band. The proper training and development of musicians is dear to his heart and he believes in discipline; progress over perfection. His mantra is #PlayYourPart this stems from his time as a battery percussion instructor and gigging as a performing drummer. It is important that each member the band plays his or her part to create one cohesive and complete sound.
