My music journey began at 10 years old with piano lessons. At 16, I started learning to play guitar and sing as a part of my church worship team. Then in college I decided to study music professionally. My primary focus was Guitar, Bass Guitar and Voice. Since then, my passion instrument has definitely become Bass Guitar. I love to teach and play the Guitar as well, but there's just nothing like laying down a nice groove on the bass! Both in college and after college, I trained and played with professional musicians. I was a Worship Leader and Production Manager at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale for 4 years. While there I also played in a local alternative rock band and recorded with them before moving back to the Philadelphia area. I am now a general music education teacher at a local private school. I have been teaching private lessons on Guitar and Bass for about 8 years. Seeing students reach their goals and potential brings me the greatest joy! I understand that every student is different. So, my lessons are built to adapt to not only the way each student learns, but also their personal goals and interests. In lessons with me, you can expect to not only learn the foundations necessary to become a solid musician, but also have fun reaching your music goals. We'll learn songs that you know and love, as well as explore new music from different genres. I look forward to meeting you and helping you start your music journey!
