Colleen Carlson is an emerging flutist and educator who recently relocated to Rochester, NY. Colleen earned her Master of Music degree from The Boston Conservatory under the tutelage of Sarah Brady. Recently, Colleen performed Pierrot Lunaire at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and performed with a Berklee College of Music Faculty Ensemble in a performance of Ligeti’s 'Aventures.’ which allowed her to realize her niche as a chamber musician with a particular affinity for contemporary works. As an educator, Colleen worked as a flute coach with the Youth Orchestras of Fresno and was the flute faculty member at the Music Camp at Sequoia Lake. She also maintained a thriving private studio with students ranging from ages 7 to 83. Whether your intent is to study the flute seriously or as a hobby, Colleen can help you take on the challenge!
