I taught group lessons in my hometown at the local teen center for over two years. I gained lots of teaching experience in that time with kids of a range of ages.

Guitar Instructor

A multi-instrumentalist, Cole teaches piano, guitar, ukulele, and bass. In addition to teaching, he also is a singer/songwriter, producer, and recording studio owner. He is currently working on his degree in Music at the University of Southern California . Although Cole didn’t grow up in a musical family, he discovered The Beatles when he was 6 years old. From that moment on, he was hooked. He knew that he wanted to be a guitarist and songwriter!
Cole began taking private guitar lessons in Thousand Oaks at age 7. He studied with the same teacher for 11 years! In that time, he also learned to play the piano, ukulele, bass, drums, percussion, and studied singing. An avid and eager student, Cole also began studying random instruments here and there. He even learned to play the harmonica! Because he knew he wanted to be a professional musician, he started recording his own albums at the age of 9. 
Cole started teaching guitar lessons in the 8th grade as part of a “start your own business” school project. Later on, the City of Thousand Oaks hired him to teach at their Teen Center. He taught group guitar lessons there for two years, while maintaining his own private teaching studio for the last 6 years. Cole believes it’s up to today’s teachers to ensure that real musicians will continue to grow as music becomes more and more computerized. Cole wants to inspire his students and show them how fun, crazy, empowering, and life-changing music can be!

Hi everyone, my name is Cole! I've been a rock-n-roller since I was 6 years old. I love playing guitar, piano, bass, drums, and singing. As well I love writing songs. I've been teaching all these instruments to dozens of students since I was in the 8th grade and love educating the future of music (YOU)!! I took lessons from Cole last year in hopes to get a better feel for understanding the major/minor scales for lead guitar.  I've been playing rhythm guitar for decades and wanted to work my way into playing lead guitar.  He asked a ton of questions on what I wanted to accomplish and dialed in his lessons to address these needs.  Great teacher and was always on time!  I can truly say I am a better guitar player due to my time spent with Cole.
