Private Studio

Teaching brass ensemble and band. Students at beginner level learn to read music and play trumpet or trombone. Here there is a focus on the fundamentals of brass technique, group performance, and musicianship.

Guitar Music Lessons

Private brass instruction. Students have ranged from 5 to 40 years old. Here I implement a hands-on approach that is specifically tailored for each individual student. Brass and breathing techniques, music theory, ear training, and reading music are all part of the lessons. Students are given the opportunity to perform in a recital several times a year.

World Up

Leading small group lessons on composition, song writing, and production. Giving instruction on the various musical elements (instrumental, lyrical, and rhythmic) of songwriting. Helping to produce students first group recording project.

Private Studio

Directing a beginner wind/brass ensemble. Working with students on technical facility and musical performance. Teaching individual lessons on trumpet, trombone, and euphonium.

Partners with Parents New York

Students were between the ages of 11-13 at beginner level. Helped students to develop fundamental brass technique, musical understanding/appreciation, and ear training. When working with more than one student, a focus on listening and group playing was implemented. Students have gone on to pursue music in high school and performing arts programs.

Self Employeed

For 10 years, maintain a steady private practice of brass and piano instruction.Creativity, technique, composition, ear training, and development of musicianship are central to the lessons. Students have gone on to pursue music in school, professionally, and competitively.
