Hi, My name is Cody, I am a student at Milwaukee Area Technical College and I study Jazz Guitar under the Professor of Jazz Guitar at Lawrence University, Steve Peplin. Music and Teaching is my life, inspiring and helping others to be the best musicians they can be is what I am all about. I have performed in all sorts of bands ranging from Heavy Metal to Gospel. Other than music I love to relax and watch movies, or spend time with my friends and family, they are very important to me. *** Lesson Details *** When taking lessons with me, you can expect a laid back, easy to work with teacher who moves at the same pace you do. The curriculum I use for all my students is designed to give them the skills they need to succeed in the music industry today and have the ability to perform at an advanced level. In the first 3-6 months I like to focus my students on developing technique and knowing their way around their instrument comfortably. After you get all the basics down we will proceed to work on songs and study different musical compositions. Also for fun we will work on composing songs together and developing your musical language in the genre you choose to play. *** Studio Equipment *** My living room and I have seating for parents available, along with some refreshments. *** Travel Equipment *** I have my own guitar/bass and amp, i expect the student to have a guitar/bass. I can provide the music and charts they would need. *** Specialties *** I specialize in styles on both bass and guitar ranging from gospel music to heavy metal.
