Just picking up the guitar? Start with the basics and build

Everything starts with fundamentals. If you are just starting out on guitar, we will start with the basics and move up from there. Every student learns in their own way and at their own pace. I will structure your lessons based on your progress and ability as you move forward. If there are songs or skill you would like to learn, I will teach those as your skills improve when the time is right.

    About Clayton C.

Hey there! My name is Clayton, and I hope to be your teacher! Learning instruments and music has always come very natural to me. Coming out of High School I played at least 8 instruments. Most of them completely self taught. I've been in rock bands, jazz bands, symphonic bands, and marching bands on instruments ranging from saxophone, to bassoon, to guitar. I also sing, and as a Senior in high school I was invited to sing with the Kent State Chorus as they performed Carmina Burana. I was also invited to join an Honors Choir at Wright State University, where we spent the weekend going through camps and lectures, learning new music and ultimately performing at the end of the event. After high school I was accepted to The Ohio State University for Music Education. What I learned in my first year of college was this; As good as I was, I could have been so much better if I was disciplined in practicing and taking lessons like I should have done. It's my goal to keep lessons interesting and fun for you so that you actually enjoy lessons, and enjoy practicing in a way that it doesn't feel like a chore. Because, when we enjoy what we do, we do it willingly and with excitement rather than disinterest and dread. So, come learn with me, and let's have some fun!
