Singing with Cierra H.

Nice to meet you! I have been singing since I was a little girl. In fact, there are many silly pictures of me performing to my imaginary audience in my living room as a little girl. At thirteen years old I was given the privilege to gain recording studio experience with the brand So Sound Recordings. I wrote a series of six songs and recorded them, as well as performed live at different venues- before moving on to my next endeavor. From there, I auditioned for the music school, Miami Arts Charter. After being admitted to the program, I studied there for 4 years. I received training in music theory, sight singing, ear training, solo performance, choral performance, and ensemble performance. After I graduated, I moved on to The Honors College of Miami Dade Wolfson Campus. There I receive training in music theory, sight singing, ear training, gospel ensemble, private vocal technique, and was in 2 musical theater performances. I was cast as Rapunzel and Cinderella's Mother in the play Into the Woods. And sang the solo "A Wonderful Guy" from the revue A Grand Night For Singing. I recieved my Associates in Arts, and graduated with Honors. I'm continuing my studies at Barry University to complete my bachelors by '21. The lessons I provide are catered towards the student I am teaching. I have learned to be very patient, because unfortunately Young Voices are pressured to sound very mature and big very fast , which is harmful to the health of the voice. Teaching beginners at a young age how to control the voice and keep it healthy is my ultimate goal. I deeply believe that if you "water the plant every day, it will grow."
