R. Chuck Jacks has a music performance Bachelor's Degree from Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA). He also received his Music Teacher Certificate from Penn State University (Main Campus). Mr. Jacks worked as a Professional Trombonist for 5 years with Royal Caribbean, traveling all over the world. Mr. Jacks has been teaching private lessons on and off since 1997, with a main focus since 2012. His studio is located at his home in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Jacks specializes in teaching Jazz & Music Theory, plus all Low Brass instruments: Trombone, Bass Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium, and Tuba. Most of his students are in 4th-12th grades, plus some college students during the summer break. He also has the occasional adult student, needing physical therapy for music after an injury or hospital stay. Mr. Jacks puts a focus on Tone Quality, Sight-Reading Skills, Great Music, Improvising, and Awesomeness!!
