My name is Christopher Richard. I have a substantial amount of experience in the fields of theater, classical music and philosophy. I have served as a tutor in the subjects of voice, philosophy, writing, French and English since 2008. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy with a French minor from The Catholic University of America. As an actor, I have starred in over thirty theatrical productions, including Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and the musicals Les Miserables and Joseph. I am also a classically trained singer in the baritone voice. My singing repertoire includes an NYC/Philadelphia tour with the CUA Chamber Choir, an award of excellence for singing at the Weymouth Young Musicians Festival in Southern Pines, NC, as well as cantoring at Catholic churches in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Pinehurst and Southern Pines, NC. My vocal technique puts a strong emphasis on the use of the diaphragm for support, as well as controlled breathing.
