*** Lesson Details ***
I love forming trusting and genuine relationships and the teacher-student relationship is one of the most important out there. This is why I promise to create a friendly environment where students will never feel ashamed to ask questions or admit they haven't had the chance to practice something. I do however also promise a sincere and professional environment. It is my true desire to connect with students in a way they will feel inspired to practice, play, discuss, and love music.

I will present as a more laid back teacher. My emphasis will be on connecting with you as an individual and learning the music. We will discuss what your personal goals are for these lessons and where you hope to be down the road in a few months. We will then hopefully both do our best to accomplish our goals in learning a piece, mastering our scales, improvising over the blues, learning the notes of the treble clef, or wherever you may be in your development as a musician.

As a working musician I know personally that maintaining interest in music and your instrument has to do with playing things that you connect with. Therefore, as a teacher I find it very important to balance fundamentals with letting the students play/learn what they'd like. This includes not shunning any music that the student really wants to learn whether it be pop/country/classical/jazz/ etc.

Parents feel free to contact me if you are tirelessly searching for a teacher for your little ones!

Chris is amazing! I wanted to brush up on reading sheet music and learn a few songs. Chris was great at jump starting me back into piano. He has such a great demeanor, while still pushing you to push yourself. He gives great notes post lesson. Can't say enough good things about him!

An amazing learning experience

Chris is an amazingly awesome teacher. He is a great listener and from the first class listen to my learning style and preferences. He has tailored each class to accomodate my learning style and strengths while supporting me to improve in my weak areas. He is also fun, easy going and patient. His extensive notes support me to practice and improve. He encourages and motives me to do better each time.Thank you Chris for sharing your passion for music with me.
