    About Christopher C.

My experience as a musician spans over 25 years in study, performance, education, and recording. As a University of Lowell alum circa 1992, and performance graduate of Berklee College of Music, the advanced curricula catapulted my skills in order to expand my own abilities as a professional performer and educator, and share my knowledge and musical wisdom with many satisfied and concurrent students. Past and present professional performances and sessions include work with: Blue Man Group / Iggy Pop band / Chuck Berry keyboardist Vic Lane / Count Basie Orchestra / Mass. Lions All-State Concert Band / B Street Blues (r) Testimonial: "Chris, you really care about your students and it shows". - Prof. D. Morris, Berklee College of Music *Active Member of the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association *Active Member of the National Music Teachers Association My passion is to see my students advance in their studies, and have fun learning as much as I have to share. The reward for me is a student's success, and that success is defined by you. *** Lesson Details *** As a parent, uncle, and sibling of 5, I learned a long time ago what it means to be patient! I know that every student grows on their own, and I always consider this in customizing each student's curriculum. This helps the student learn at a comfortable pace, while enjoying their lesson plan. After 3 to 6 months, most students are well ahead of their age group in theory, harmony, and performance. If you have a song you want to learn, I'll not only teach you the song, but the how's, why's, and when's of it. We'll get down to the business of learning, but my students are sure to have a good time learning. That's what matters to me as an instructor, and mentor. Remember, music is everywhere, and it is a gift that everyone can enjoy, and the most important part of my life is sharing the passion for music with my students. *** Studio Equipment *** Bass and guitar amplifiers, electronic keyboard, 4,5, and 6 string basses, electric guitars, alto sax, digital recording tools and access to the internet for resources as needed. *** Travel Equipment *** I provide books (for sale), stand, amps if necessary, music stand, tuner for use during lessons. I can provide instruments for sale or rent as well. I expect students to have an instrument in decent condition, and a plan or direction on what they wish to accomplish. *** Specialties *** Electric Bass: Beginner to Advanced I am partial to jazz, blues, rock, funk, folk and classical for bass. Serving northeast, central MA and Southern NH I use a customized method, per se, as I incorporate several styles to suit a student's individual goals. No two students are the same!
