Music Theory with Christopher B.

I have been a professional bassist for 28 years and teacher in the Tidewater area for over 20 years. As a teacher I've taught in the public school system for 14 years as an orchestra director. I have also taught at the Governors Magnet School for the Arts, Chesapeake Public Schools Summer Jazz Camp and held adjunct faculty positions at the College of William and Mary as well as Christopher Newport University. As a performer I am a member of the Virginia Symphony Jazz Orchestra playing with artists like Shirley Jones, Bernadette Peters and Debbie Boone . I have also performed with notable jazz artists such as Frank Foster, Steve Wilson, Rick Margitza, John Abercrombieand, Joe Locke and John Fedchock. I also perform regularly with Hampton Roads Jazz artists Woody Beckner, John Toomey, Jae Sinnett, Jeff Smith and the Roy Muth Big Band.
