I am available nationwide via Skype or through Google Hangouts for Guitar, bass and Violin lessons. I have performed at the French Quarter Jazz festival at age 18 and alongside Russell Malone during the season's conclusion at the Fine Arts Center in downtown Atlanta. I attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN. I studied guitar under John Pell and Paul Abrams. While in school I majored in Commercial Music with an emphasis on music business. I found an internship with Yamaha musical instruments where I maintained instruments for players like John Hiatt, Christopher Cross, Peter Frampton, Tommy Sims, Drew Zingg, Kenny Greeneberg, Larry Carlton, Skunk Baxter and Martin Taylor. Sitting in on rehearsals and sessions with these artists provided insight and experience no college course could. After graduation I went on the road for Yamaha providing artist relations for the H.O.R.D.E. tour where I worked alongside the Barenaked Ladies, Ben Harper and Blues Traveler. I have opened for various artists including Buckwheat Zydeco, Hubert Sumlin,The Nighthawks, and the late Sean Costello. I have also performed with the Temptations. My album credits include student records at Belmont University and the EP titled, Johnnie and the Lowdowns. I am a fan of surf, jazz, and blues and have recorded some of my own creations with my own group, the C.A.T. As a teacher I strive to show others how to play and create music. My lessons focus on providing the budding musician with the tools to become a proficient player. Creativity through knowledge is the core of my instruction. *** Lesson Details *** Through consistent practice progress is made on any instrument. I teach all of my beginning students to read music. This along with a chord syllabus provides a foundation for us to build a musician from the ground up. *** Studio Equipment *** music studio room w/ piano, organ, guitars, amps, seating for parents, recording capabilities *** Specialties *** Nashville numbers, chart writing, jazz theory and improvisation. Blues and standards, chord chart reading and writing. Reading music on guitar.
