Viola with Christine S.

Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance - Cleveland Institute of Music Graduate Studies - University of Michigan Christine S. was born in Florida and began playing the viola at the age of 8 through her school music program. At the age of 12 she began taking private lessons and soon found her passion for music making. She was accepted into the Cleveland Institute of Music where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in viola performance in 2010. Christine has also studied with other renowned teachers such as Lynne Ramsey, Lisa Mattson, and Sarah Cote. She also did graduate studies with Caroline Coade at the University of Michigan. Christine plays with the Ashland Symphony Orchestra, Opera Circle, and Opera Per Tutti. She also has taught extensively in the Northern Virginia Area at the New School of Northern Virginia and now continues to teach in Cleveland. She finds great fulfilment and joy in guiding students to their musical goals.
