I have been teaching for many years which include experience teaching all ages in different contexts including homeschool children, an after-school elementary school program for disadvantaged children, a college course in string instruments for music education students, as well as my own private studio. With my experience and love of music, my goal is for each student to learn about music in a holistic way, not just learning about basic technique of their instrument but also incorporating interesting tidbits of musical history in each lesson. My firm belief is that music should be a creative and fun outlet outside of school and work responsibilities, as well as a great way to develop problem solving skills. Learning an instrument has been scientifically proven to work out both the left and right side of the brain. With a mixture of a structured program, encouragement and following the students interest, I hope to serve the student and help them learn and grow at their individual pace.
