    About Christine A.

I TEACH KIDS TO BE CONFIDENT, COMPASSIONATE, and CREATIVE <3 My name is Christine A., and I am an experienced Drama Teacher and performer in the Bay Area. I've been teaching for over 10 years now, and am currently an artist in residence with SF Arts Education, as well as being the drama teacher at Vallecito Elementary in San Rafael. I also run my own week long Creative Storytelling Camps in San Francisco, which results in an original performance in front of an audience of family and friends. My specialty is creating engaging, empowering arts curriculum with a focus on storytelling, theatre, and creative expression for students of all ages and backgrounds. I offer group classes, as well as one on one acting coaching with theatre games and techniques. I am also available to help kids write their own plays and monologues. I'm a performer myself, and I produce, direct, and act in my Theater troupe which puts on a play about motherhood I co-wrote called "Stretchmarks."  I love sharing my talents and passion for the dramatic arts with others. It is the most wonderful thing to be able to educate from the heart. Helping kids blossom into creative, imaginative, expressive, compassionate, focused, awesome performers and human being is what it's all about! *** Lesson Details *** Depending on the group dynamic or the student's individual needs, I tailor my classes to what I feel works best. I will always do body and voice warm ups, theatre games that instill fun with a sense of focus and discipline. I have monologues and scripts I can supply or suggest and am always very fair, positive, and constructive with my feedback. My style is pleasant, nurturing, high-energy, and effective. I create an atmosphere of safe, kind, positivity, allowing each student the freedom of expression in their own unique style. Group classes are always stressing the aspects of community and collaboration. *** Travel Equipment *** No equipment necessary, but can provide scripts or monologues if need be. *** Specialties *** I specialize in theatre, but also do acting for the camera. I also help students write their own monologues and plays.
