Principles of improvisational theater to help you think quickly on your feet.

Improv is a great learning tool for team building, spontaneity, listening, being present, speaking to groups, communicating one on one, saying yes and so much more. It helps that each game played builds upon the next to reinforce the learning. Improvisers fail forward. We embrace "failure." We have to fail in order to succeed. If we aren't failing, we aren't trying. What you get: Team Building / Laughter Workshop Bring the team together in an interactive environment that fosters positive thinking and collaboration. Improv Troupe Direction - for improv troupes who need an outside eye for notes, direction and ideas for marketing your troupe. At the end of the session, you will have new games and ideas to move your troupe forward. Christine will help each student become more present, less self-conscious and will get them excited about failing. Expect to leave this class feeling more confident and empowered. Christine is committed to providing a safe and courageous place for people to have fun, learn and play. My passion is to share the incredible art form of improvisation with excitement and humor.
About Christine A.

Improv is a form of theater where everything is made up on the spot. Nothing is scripted, everything is made up in the moment using random suggestions and teamwork. Improv allows every person & idea to have value. Improv is a great learning tool for team building, spontaneity, listening, being present, speaking to groups, communicating, saying yes, respecting one another and so much more. It helps that each game played builds upon the next to reinforce the learning. Christine provides a safe space for people to have fun and play in. There are "no mistakes" and she encourages massive imperfect action and you will feel the rewards when you see the applause and hear the roaring laughter. This is where you should be if you're new to learning improv. A PRE-101 improv course if you will. Maybe you're here because someone suggested improv as a way for you to strengthen your communication skills, listening or relationship skills. You also may be here because you want to perform improv on a stage with troupe members. You may be nervous about meeting a class in person and want to see what improv is about. Or perhaps you're just ready to laugh. You are safe with me.

Laugh to Feel Good
A Laugh to Feel Good workshop is for people dealing with cancer in some way. It's a place for people to play with "no mistakes" as their motto and no need to say how or why they made it to this class unless they want to. It's a cancer support group that - for this one hour - doesn't talk about cancer and instead play improv games and LAUGH TOGETHER! It also boosts our immune systems for 24 hours.
