About Christina M.
Greetings! My name is Christina and I am a recent Rutgers University graduate with a double major in both music and economics. I have had over 12 years of private training in piano, with additional experience in violin, orchestra, choir and various performance-related events. Over the years I have studied with numerous pianists and incorporated many different methods and techniques that have greatly influenced my own teaching. I have been teaching music lessons to both children and adults since high school, and am comfortable teaching any age. I do believe that a solid foundation in any instrument begins with music theory, and it is something I incorporate little by little into each lesson; however, it is very important to me that the learning process be enjoyable, and I strive to make each lesson as fun, inspiring, and exciting as possible!

Curricular rigor is chosen to fit the needs of each individual student, depending on whether the student is preparing for the challenges of a conservatory, or simply learning for recreational needs.
For beginners, I often refer to both the Faber and Music Tree curriculum. However, I am flexible and open to requests from students, since my goal is for students to learn, advance and enjoy the overall experience.

I had a great experience for my first lesson with Christina. She is very patient and makes the learning experience very easy. I highly recommend her.

My 5 year old daughter left her first piano lesson with Christina excited and motivated to learn how to play!! I couldn't be happier!!

Christina does a great job and my daughter really looks forward to her lessons!

Christina is an excellent teacher and very knowledgeable on the subject.

I'm an older student who always wanted to take piano lessons but never could (until now). Christina was worth the wait. She challenges me just enough so that I'm eager to practice, so I look forward to my piano lesson all week. My daughters are even playing again and piano music has once again filled our house. Wonderful!
the children are happy
