- Teaches students:
- Ages 5+ and special needs
- Teaching since:
I recently moved from the Washington D.C area where I taught 20-30 students a week. My versatility, experience, and formal training help me to make learning easy and fun.
In addition to lessons, I ask my students to perform together in ensembles for the community (in schools, senior care facilities, hospitals, and charity fundraisers). For these performances, students play music they have chosen and had a hand in arranging. There are opportunities to play solos and lots of contemporary and classical repertoire as well. In addition to these smaller performances, there are also more formal recitals at the end of the year.
As a performer, my playing has been praised for its “incredible depth” [Broadway World Review] on stage and “haunting” [Boston Arts Review] sound. I have led a diverse career performing in theaters, collaborating with cross-genre ensembles, working with contemporary classical composers, and passionately educating young musicians.
I love watching my students discover how much music can transform the lives of others. I love watching them grow and seeing them create more and more beautiful music.
Come join us on our crusade to make music an important part of everyone's life.
Working with Christina over the past few years has been such a great experience! She is a first-rate teacher who is very supportive and caring. Highly recommended!
