I am a professional opera singer and have sung on the stages of The Santa Fe Opera, San Diego Opera, the Royal Opera at the Palace of Versailles, Minnesota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Utah Opera, Aspen Opera Festival, The Glimmerglass Festival, and many others. I have been reviewed professionally by such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Opera News, Seen and Heard International, Minnesota Playlist, Opera Today, and Broadway World. Although my own vocal background is almost entirely in opera, I am able to use my understanding of classical singing and apply those same healthy vocal principles to whichever style my student is interested in pursuing. I have had many successful students study rock and roll, pop, jazz, musical theater, and gospel. I try to make each lesson as fun and informative as possible. I tailor each lesson to the needs of the student that day, while also maintaining a clear direction and progression throughout our sessions together. It's my goal to come alongside each of my students and give them the tools they need to attain their vocal goals while also having a great time together.
