Learn to jam on the ukulele with an experienced musician and top-rated music educator

The Ukulele is such a fun instrument to play. It's a small instrument with a big sound. There is actually 4 different sizes you can choose from: Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone. The first 3 have the same string arrangement which is G, C, E, A, and the Baritone is D, G, B, E, which is the same tuning as the first 4 strings on a guitar. Soprano is the smallest and the Baritone is the largest. If you want the true Hawaiian sound you need the Soprano. If you have really big hands or thick fingers you might want to go with the Concert or Tenor size so it will be easier to play. They are very affordable instruments. The one I have is a Fender U Uke it was around 109.00. It's easier then guitar because you don't have to press down as hard on the strings. Some of my favorite Ukulele players and bands that incorporate it are Jack Johnson, Brian May from Queen, Beach Boys, Elvis, Israel Iz, and many more. I teach beginner to intermediate level for single and group lessons. I offer half hour and full hour classes. So, whether you're a beginner who just wants to be able to strum some fun songs or someone who wants to get serious and take it to the next level by learning scales, arpeggios, voicing, timings, music theory, etc. I'm here, ready to teach you. Sign up for some lessons and "uke" will have a blast jamming on your Ukulele.

Music is my passion. I've been playing music since I was a child but didn't get serious with it until I was 14, that's when I got my first electric guitar. So, from then on I've been playing and studying music for over 16 years. I play and teach guitar, piano, drums, and bass guitar. Aside from taking years of private lessons with a number of teachers I also studied music and audio engineering in college. I'm constantly learning more. I keep my chops up by practicing and reading books by other professionals and songwriters. So, I have an arsenal of books and musical knowledge. When I'm not teaching I spend most of my time writing and recording my original solo music. I have a rock band that I've been playing with for over a decade. We are currently in the studio recording our first professional album. *** Lesson Details *** I'm a very patient teacher. I understand that not everyone learns the same way so I specialize in breaking things down and making music as simple as it can be for each kind of student. I don't use just one method, I pull from my arsenal of acquired knowledge, books, and my own studies. I keep lessons fun and interesting. A normal lesson with me would consist of two parts the first 30 minutes we would focus on learning and practicing warm ups, exercises, licks, notes, scales, chords, arpeggios, timing, rudiments, dynamics, ear training, theory, technique, etc. And the second half we would work on a song or jam together. Depending on the age and level of student, after spending six months studying with me you will be a rock star! LOL. Well, you may not have a recording contract, but you will have gained a volume of knowledge and taken your playing up a few levels. It's all about how much time and practice you put in and how much you want it. Every student has there own pace and desire so I do my part to help them become the best that they want to be. *** Studio Equipment *** Home Studio: drum set, practice pad, piano and keyboard, guitar amps, chairs, parents can sit in on lesson. Broken Arrow Music Studio: drum set, guitar amp, piano, and lobby room for parents. *** Specialties *** I specialize in working with beginner to advanced level students. I teach all styles of music.

My daughter took drum and guitar lessons with Christian. He is very personable, knowledgeable and fun. He started her with the basics working toward the exact genre of music she wanted to play. With the guitar he also taught music theory. We are thrilled with his professionalism and ability to connect with his students. Would highly recommend!

Christian is a very patient teacher who explains things clearly and broke down complicated topics for me into simple terms as a beginner. I had a great lesson.

I highly recommend Christian as your new drum teacher. He gets straight to business and explains things in a way that makes sense. I feel like I was able to take away a lot of knowledge after just one session. It was nice to be able to take some sheet music home to practice in between sessions. You won't be disappointed.

    Apr, 2018 - Present

    Metro Christian Acadamy

I've always been a private music teacher from three studio locations in Oklahoma and two online companies but in 2018 Metro Christian school contacted me to teach a group guitar program at their school and I proudly accepted the offer. It's been fun and now I can say that I'm an official teacher, since I teach for a private school along side my own private studios.
