Hi! I'm Christian! I play the guitar. I've been playing for 20 years now. Ive studied with all sorts of folks and at multiple music schools. I play in the DC and Baltimore area. Over time I've assembled quite a bucket of music tools and skills. I've also learned that everyone who wants to do this thing, at some point, has to formulate their own approach. I can help with that. I focus on basic to advanced skills and approaches. My goal is to get people playing and listening critically and to facilitate being able to play with and learn anything. So, typically, I focus on: Ear Training Technical skills and exercises Conceptualizing the fretboard (making a mental map...or several) How to learn songs Analyzing musical elements....form, structure, harmony, melody, rhythm, audio mix How to play! Specific techniques for specific purposes How, where, and when to practice. This is a biggie. There is A LOT, but!.... this is just the pool of knowledge I have to take from. Each student has specific needs, and we will focus on each of those one at a time. I love to see people learn and grow and look forward to hearing from you! -C
