English Lessons with me are unique because similar to many students, at one point 20+ years ago, I also did not speak English and I had to learn. With my background, I have an approach to teaching English that works because the skills that I use to teach are also the skills that I used to learn. I also have a passion for teaching. I love integrating my passion for teaching with passion for learning the English language.

I have been teaching English since 2016 at a local Elementary School and also to adults at a community center. Similar to many students, I also did not know how to speak English 20+ years ago. 

My approach to teaching English is teaching all the skills that I used when I was learning how to speak English to my students to help them learn at a comfortable pace. 

In addition, not only do I move at a student's speed/level but very often I collaborate with my students on creating lesson plans based on what they want to learn and/or  what they would like to improve on. 

 On my free time, I volunteer with a Foster Care agency and I also mentor. Lastly, In addition to English, I also speak Haitian-Creole.

I've had many English teachers but I must say Christelle is the most patient, relaxed, good tempered,  helpful, encouraging, respectful, and kind teacher there is. Christelle creates a comfortable and warm environment where you are able to learn at your pace. Christelle also had to learn the English language and  it's comforting knowing that  Christelle also struggled. Christelle has taught me great skills I will continue to utilize in my everyday life.

I had a chance to work with Christelle where she helped me improve my english. It was a great experience, she was patient with me and the lessons were at a comfortable pace for me to be able to grasp the information. I truly enjoyed having her as a teacher and would recommend her service to anyone who wants to learn English.
